Flow Cosmetics Has always used only wild, organic certified or natural cosmetics criteria. Our customers know us as an organic, reliable and transparent actor.

It's time to take the next step in our responsibility path. We have launched a long and detailed EcoCert Cosmos Organic certification process, and we can, to be delighted, to announce that the cult favorite Rose Floral Water has now received a certificate!

"EcoCert Cosmos certification makes it easier for customers that do not interpret raw material lists, or know the principles of natural cosmetics," Summetics Suvi says, "The certificate also assures our new clients that we are just as organic and ecological as we argue."

The step is only the first on the long path. At the end of the certification process, each Flow Cosmetics –The product and every raw material we use have passed the strict Ecoert Cosmos requirements. The process is not fast-the project started in the spring and we have now received our first product with Cosmos certification. We are not ready yet.

What EcoCert Cosmos?

EcoCert was founded in 1991 to develop organic production in Europe. Today, EcoCert is known for its organic and natural cosmetics certificates.

The EcoCert Cosmos certificate is one of the strictest available certificates. Flow Cosmetics -Products are awarded either Cosmos Organic or Cosmos Natural certificates, depending on the number of organic ingredients.

There are six steps in certification. The product, the ingredients used in the product and their accurate documentation, packaging and packaging materials, product recipe, packaging labels, and production detergents are all through. It is not enough that everything has been reviewed in writing, but that there is also an auditor who checks the production facilities and processes, as well as the documentation of production and raw materials. The auditor returns to the site every year, whereby certified products are checked that the ingredients we have reported are used in the manufacture.

"Now that we have practically gone through the process required by every certificate, I can sign that the products that have received the EcoCert Cosmos certificate are really extremely controlled," Suvi says.

“There is a lot of green washing in the field of natural cosmetics. Consumers are often misled, and products are not always what operators say they are. The EcoCert Cosmos standard is an insurance that an outside respected player has checked the raw materials we use and the production process, and that everything is exactly what we have always said it is. The certificate is just a confirmation of what we have been doing for years.”

EcoCert opens doors to the world

Recipe and packaging in the products remain the same, the only change for consumers is the Ecoert Cosmos stamp that appears in the products.

“We strongly believe that EcoCert certification opens up new doors for us, including in the international market,” says Riitta Jänkälä, founder and CEO of Flow Cosmetics.
