Ingredients & Production

At Flow we believe that genuinely good products can only be made with good ingredients; natural and effective ingredients are worth investing in for beautiful products. In every single product we make, the certified organic ingredients have been carefully chosen to work alongside the wild-sourced plants. We ensure that the natural products do not compromise on efficacy by ensuring the formulations are rich in vitamins and antioxidants.

Organic ingredients are important to us which is why we strive to use them in our products wherever possible. We’re honored to be part of the Finnish Natural Cosmetics association. Almost every plant ingredient we use is either certified organic or wild grown in Lapland. The preservatives and necessary cosmetic additives (eg emulsifiers) we use proudly meet the COSMOS standard for organic and natural cosmetics. Ingredients in our mineral makeup products are also natural cosmetics certified.

We source our ingredients from Finland wherever we can; this is something we continue to work on and improve upon as we believe that Finnish ingredients are of an impeccable standard in our hard-working products. All ingredients we can’t source from our own country is supplied from like-minded European partners.

Preservation of Our Products

Wherever possible, we strive to minimize preservatives, which has led to the development of water-free products. None of our wonderful oil-based serums, body butters, face oils or soaps contain preservatives to ensure that the raw ingredients are left as pure as possible. Any preservatives we do use are entirely natural to benefit the skin.

Plants of the North

Our Finnish heritage is a proud part of who we are; we take immense pride in sourcing many of our natural ingredients from our native country. All of the plants we use are as pure as possible and are picked from northern plants where the midnight sun allows the plants to produce incredibly high levels of protective bioactive substances.

Essential Oils

Essential oils are incredibly nurturing and beneficial for both the body and mind, which is why we place such importance on having them in our products. The uplifting aromas are transformative and the results truly speak for themselves; based on our extensive experience, we have found that essential oils are also far kinder and more tolerable to the skin than artificial fragrances.

Flow handpicks every component of our packaging materials to ensure that there is as little waste as possible and that everything is recyclable.

Flow has been expertly crafting products since 2004 in our factory in Riihimäki, Finland. Our laboratory is where we develop all of our own innovative formulations. The factory encompasses every element of the product’s journey from the handling of raw materials to the shipping of our freshly-prepared products.
